Engaging therapeutic approach

Explore trauma & relationship patterns; develop distress tolerance, emotional regulation & healthy coping skills; strengthen self-confidence & personal empowerment.

A good fit:  clients must feel connected to and understood by their therapist.  My first priority is to create a safe and trusting space.

Client-centered:  clients are the experts about themselves.  My approach is to help you develop your goals and your path forward.

Strengths-based:  while many clients present with a specific set of problems, our work will also reveal your unique skills and abilities.

Interactiveactive and nonjudgmental listening is critical to a successful relationship.  I follow the lead and pace of my individual clients; at the same time, I ask reflective questions and provide feedback.

Evidence-based practices:  client-tailored interventions include cognitive behavioral therapy; dialectical behavioral therapy; interpersonal and motivational;  psychodynamic; family systems; and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
