Life isn't about finding yourself.
Life is about creating yourself.

Engaging therapeutic approach
Explore trauma & relationship patterns; develop distress tolerance, emotional regulation & healthy coping skills; strengthen self-confidence & personal empowerment.
A good fit: clients must feel connected to and understood by their therapist. My first priority is to create a safe and trusting space.
Client-centered: clients are the experts about themselves. My approach is to help you develop your goals and your path forward.
Strengths-based: while many clients present with a specific set of problems, our work will also reveal your unique skills and abilities.
Interactive: active and nonjudgmental listening is critical to a successful relationship. I follow the lead and pace of my individual clients; at the same time, I ask reflective questions and provide feedback.
Evidence-based practices: client-tailored interventions include cognitive behavioral therapy; dialectical behavioral therapy; interpersonal and motivational; psychodynamic; family systems; and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

I work with young and dating couples, pre-marital and long-married couples and couples in transition.
Trained in group dynamics and experienced in group therapy, I seek to facilitate therapy and support groups dealing with issues such as: career changes in mid-life, grief and loss in death or divorce, and LGBTQI and bullying issues for youth.
Looking to host a psycho-ed and/or support group for parents of LGBTQI children.
Please contact me should you have any interest in participating in group work.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a Master's Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. I have worked as a psychotherapist in a group private practice, at a private counseling agency and a community mental health clinic, and as a school social worker. Equally as important, I have a wide variety of personal and professional life experiences.
I have clinical training and experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma-informed therapy, and mindfulness training; bereavement, grief and loss, caretaking for individuals with chronic illness, families in transition, including divorce and job loss; and with LGBTQ context and gender transitioning.
